• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

different tire question

I just found a spot on my rear tire that is totally bald. I have read that this has happened to others as well.

In reading a lot of tire posts there are only a couple tire brands thown out as replacements. General, kumho etc. So my question is why only those brands, why not Dunlop, Perelli, or any other tire that is a 216/60R15 >?

Thanks
Ray

Oh no you.. didn't...😲

You must have stopped reading :yikes: they are all in there now...as soon as they find a comparable size the question is posted as to who has information on it/has tried them. I do not use car tires but that yokahama looks nice and I think dunlop has been mentioned here.....

Our Kenda tire on the rear of our Spyder had a bald spot on one side but if you spun it 180 degrees it still looked like it had 4000-5000 miles left. We replaced it with a 215/60R15 Yokohama Avid Touring S all season tire. We've run about 3000 miles on it after having it squared away in Iowa and have settled on 20 PSI in all three tires and our Spyder has never handled better! Seems everyone that has used a Yokohama has used the S Drive but so far we've had a great experience.

Ray if have followed my threads / posts ... I also recommend the Pirelli P4 Four Seasons-PLUS and the Michelin Primacy ........I just bought the Pirelli at Tire Rack for $ 67.50 ( a freaking bargain ) .... The Dunlop has really poor performance ratings , imho .......... Mike

I'm running a BF Goodrich that fit's perfect, speedo is on, and using Mike's pressure suggestions, it has 5 thousand miles on it and looks like new...
