• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Did you get your DPS done yet?

Both mine are done in time for riding season, I hope you got yours done too. Best to get it done now than when the rush starts. nojoke

Mine's at Richardson Motor Sports right now having DPS replaced, brake sensor replaced (brake failure message) and I'm having the parking brake tightened.

Ready to get back out there and enjoy the roads in Texas!

In & out in three hours

Took it in 10 days ago, in and out in 3 hours. Quite a change, not sure if I like it.....seems too responsive at faster speeds to me?:dontknow:

Got called last Saturday that the parts were in. Dropped the :spyder2: off late Saturday, picked it up Wednesday after work.

I got my bike back yesterday. Thank you Lamont for putting me in touch with Carlo. I had waited months on the DPS parts. However, I couldn't tell any difference in the handling on the 85 mile ride home from the dealer Monday. It was the ride from Hell, the wind was a killer, 17 mph with wind gust over 30 + mph. Add in a lot of tractor trailers and well you got the idea; just a continous fight.

I call the closest dealer once a month checking on getting mine done and I'm always told he is waiting on GS/RS DPS units...I've been calling ever since I received the recall...:dontknow: larryd

DPS

Both our RT and RS were done a few months back; that took the continual PSP out (perpetual sphincter pucker) of Spyder riding . . . . the Elka shocks didn't have near the same effect (affect?) but were the icing on the cake . . . along with using real butter, and fruit filling . . . can't tell ya how much we love our Spyders . . . just took the RT in for a rear tire at 16K today . . .

Have the RS E5 done and what a difference!!! WOW!!! sure wish I'd had that done BEFORE I took on the Tail of the Dragon!!! The RT is used and not sure if it has had it done. It's sluggish and about what the
RS was like BEFORE the DPS fix. Sooo have to check with Cowtown about it. Keep forgetting to do that. :roflblack:

Still waiting on DPS units.I need my 12,000 mile service done too, dealer was hoping to do it all at the same. They sell snowmobiles and atvs also
which probably keeps them busy this time of year.I think it's time for another phone call.

2 or 3 months ago, kinda ironic my old one went bad on the way to Cowtown about 15 miles before Cuba. I'm still trying to find Len's Magic Button, must be in his office.
