• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Desperately need help/advice!

I am in Kerrville, TX (about 220 miles from home). Every time I brake fairly hard to a stop, I get "VSS" "check DPS" and "Limp Home" messages. I can reset and roll on until the next firm stop and then I get all the messages again. Reset and repeat.

I have a way to trailer it home, but would dearly love to ride it home.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

:agree:Check the brake fluid, Carefully the level is touchy, And don't spill any. Have rags on hand and Wipe the cap clean before you open!!

How touchy is it? Reading the min and max levels is a bit difficult. I was definitely low on one side so I added some fluid. My brakes definitely feel better, but when I stopped hard I got ABS, VSS and DPS messages.

Add more. It is extremely sensitive. It has to be absolutely to the max mark. If it is between the marks, as should be acceptable, it often gives warnings under hard braking. If your brakes feel better, you may have gotten the level too low. If the warnings continue, and the level remains that low, they may need to be bled.

You may also want to make sure your brake lights are working properly. I had the same issue when I blew the fuse and my tail lights were out. It ran fine with no codes as long as I did not get on the brake pedal hard. Best of luck, and let us know when you resolve it.

Good call. I forgot about that.

You are right. I checked this morning and the fuse was blown. It blows everytime I put a new one in.

On the brightside, we rode home safely and off to the dealer I go Tuesday. Thanks a bunch for everyone's help!

Glad to hear it. Mine did the same thing and it turned out to be the wire going to my Cat Eye taillight was shorting out against the metal panel behind the rear fender. Most likely you have a rubbed wire somewhere that is shorting out and blowing that fuse. I hope they track it down quickly for you.
