• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Delay in 2014's

it does

Doesn't it make good sense? :dontknow: Make sure that the current model is good before it goes out... TWO straight years of problems could be the end of the product line.
Have another team working on last year's bike...

it makes good sense to do it, and i think they have one set of engineers for the spyder division and they are now spending all their time on the 14's, once they are on the market we will see fixes for the 13's.

It makes perfect sense, Bob! It would have made perfect sense LAST YEAR, too! :sour: I do hope you are right, they have a team working on last year's problems, but we haven't heard much from them. I seem to be fairly fortunate in that my bike runs well and nothing has melted, but she is painted with the '13 brush! I won't be putting a lot more $$$ into my machine if she is considered a pariah! And you well know that farkling is half the fun of one of these machines! :)

It wouldn't make sense to delay any and all progress on the 2013 front; they'll have some manpower on them as well... :2thumbs:

Remember; At this point; it's all just Quality Control affirmation on the 2014s... Hopefully; if they find nothing, that means quicker progress on the 2013s! ;)

not sure

lots of people have different ideas about what can be done. i would think new side pnls. with vents in them to cool the bike down when moving, but when stopped a fan could be used to blow the heat out the back of the bike but would the charging system handle it, the new bikes have a bigger charging system in them

A small ventilation fan would only need to run at low wpeeds (Or worse...). Once the bike gets back up to speeds; careful component selection should make it easy for the magneto to get caught back up on the drain...

i would think if you hooked it directly to the battery with a stat on it the charging system and the battery could handle a small fan

Rumor has it that there will be a delay in delivery of the 2014 RT's. I can not confirm but date moved to December or January to allow for more quality testing. Lamont can you verify?
You would think QUALITY testing would have been done before now?
