I Miss the Brake Lever
I miss most, the ability to "cover" the brakes. I trained myself to ride with 2 fingers laying on the front brake lever, and with standard foot pegs, the right foot hovers over the rear brake pedal.
At 70 miles per hour, reducing your braking reaction time by .05 seconds reduces your stopping distance by 5 feet. You can either stop a foot from the bumper ahead of you, or 4 feet into the trunk!
I'm sure that covering the brakes saved me from ramming the front tire of my Goldwing up the nether region of a doe on may way home one day!
