• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It took a week to get the appointment and then the spider just sat for four days it just sat there. This is the same dealership that I purchase it from just hope they fix all the gripes that was on the list. Is this the norm for spider service?

Supposedly you get better service if you take it to the dealership at which you purchased. I'd hate to see what kind of service you'd be getting if you hadn't purchased it there.:gaah:

My dealer stands by their appointments. In by 9:00 AM and usually done by late afternoon. This is the norm for my dealer. A couple times they had to keep it overnight.

The other dealer does not do appointments. You bring it in and it sits until they get around to it. I have heard from others that it can be a week or more. They also have mechanics that don't even know where the battery is found (under seat/frunk).

I have made no purchases from or had service at the other dealer.

Anytime my Spyder needs or wants service ....It gets it IMMEDIATELY ....if not sooner ..............Why, because I do it. BRP and / or Dealers would like you to think it's ROCKET science, but it really isn't, and for most things you don't need a bunch of expensive tools to do them............................good luck.............Mike

Fortunately; this is not the normal operating procedure at most dealers.
Sadly; it is at yours.
Talk to the shop owner about it; if he doesn't know that you're unhappy... nothing will EVER change.

My current dealer is very good. If we make an appointment, we can get in and get it done same day. My previous dealer, make an appointment, take it in and it might get done in a week or two.

Extreame in Columbus Ga. has done ours the same day on everything. That said all we have had done is first services and the panel on the wife's STS.

If I call my guys to make a 9:00am appointment; my bike is there, and up on the rack at 9:00am... nojoke
