• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DAY 2-4 me

This afternoon, I took my 1 day old spYder out for some cruising. I went to my favorite diner for a coffee and pie.
Until you experience it - you just don't understand.

When I parked, the diners exited the establishment and came to oogle and ask about this strange machine. The only guy that wasn't impressed was the guy with a brand new Harley that HAD been the center of attention.

After a nice visit and sated with chocolate creme pie and coffee, I started for home. I pulled to the side of the road to get a sip of water and an entire motorcycle club turned around and parked behind me. An hour later and with all the usual questions discussed, I again started for home. I parked out front of my house and strangers and neighbors pulled into the drive to get a look at "this strange machine."

I finally put her into the barn for the night.

END of DAY 2 as a spYder owner.

I agree with Derwin, great story.

Make no doubt about it, BRP knows how Spyder owners are actually the best way that Spyder promotes this product. With some experience in marketing, I find fascination with how every Spyder owner achieves great ambassadorship for BRP in promoting this product.

Granted it is "WOW Factor" that catches peoples attention. But the final connection that probably makes people find out more is the owners that are willing to sit and talk with the "gawkers and curious" everywhere they go. Spyder owners are special, and BRP knows this. They were gutsy enough and curious enough to go out and buy a product sight unseen.

When somebody markets a new product they know that the best way to promote is "word-of-mouth" And Spyder owners are perfect facilitators. The satisfaction and sense of importance that Spyder owners get from the questions poised by the curious spurs us on. This is evident from all the stories. Sometimes the stores are of frustration of how a simple trip to the grocery store results in delays because of the attention. Yet, Spyder owners would have it no other way.

BRP hasn't changed their website very much, with newer pictures or videos about their product. But they have added rider pages, comments, and forums. They even promote private videos and forums. This is a marketing persons perfect dream product promotion. It sells itself. So how can BRP thank us for helping them... I hope it is giving us continued product improvements and quality control. When these forums speak about problems, hopefully, BRP engineers and designers will improve the product. Otherwise these forums will un-sell just as quickly this product.
