Lack of Spyder Therapy & dealing with chronic pain has made for a BAD combination
It has dealt a great blow to my sanity and compromised my ability to rationalize. It wasn't until this morning in the shower that I was able to once again regain some form of acceptable mental composure that I realized, I was the one in the wrong. I was stewing all day yesterday, feeling like leftovers thrown on the back burner by the shop. Sorry, my psyche is so fractured right now, I'm having difficulty to even properly communicate my thoughts.
I keep forgetting, at first, the shop was only doing the work I knew I couldn't do, Warranty work replacing the head-gaskets to fix the oil leak & then replacing the thermostat to hopefully take care of the coolant leak and any and all Updates using BUDS.
After seeing how bad Teds Sled was leaking oil when I dropped it off, the Service Manager recommended that I go back to using the BRP oil instead of the brand that I had been using, even tho its rated within BRPs specs, being a Full synthetic might have had something to do with how bad it was leaking, he told me, so I consented, knowing also that In order for me to get the new access panel and the new longer filter & cap, they needed to do an oil change as well.
My last oil change, which I've always done myself, I couldn't do because of my hand/finger issues, so I had one of my brothers stop over a while back to give me a hand with it. In doing so, the shop informed me that he overtightened the drain plug going into the bottom of the case, in effect stripping it. I had replaced both drain plugs on my first oil change to the magnetic plug ends with socket plugs. They are made of solid steel & are much harder than the aluminum case, making it easy for him to over-torque & strip. So the shop then had to add a Heli-Coil to it & the shop manager suggested going back to the OEM plug, which I agreed.
Having to have all this done, I just told them to go ahead and do a full service on everything, to make sure everything else checked out ok.
When they went to drain the radiator, the drain plug broke & they had to order & replace the entire radiator.
Yesterday, when I called, I had been inside the plant all day, and had no clue that it was still snowing like crazy out. When I went to leave, I was a little shocked at the sight. Our temps are hovering right about 34-35, so none of it was sticking except to grassy areas. In a rational state of mind, all should have been diffused as soon as I walked out of the building. Teds Red Sled is still stripped, so even if the shop was finished with it, I couldn't ryde it home in these wet conditions. The shop manager knew this when we talked, and that's why he made the comment about having 4 inches of snow there & I couldn't ryde it like it is. My mind frame aint right, or I would have realized that then, and not just fixate on the fact that he told me it should have been done on Fri or Sat & here it was on Monday & they hadn't even gotten to the fix he said he was going to do 3 days ago.
I'm just so frustrated, cause I know, even when we do get Teds Stripped Sled back, with my hand the way it is, its going to take some time to get everything else, all the new and old mods, along with the rest of the body all put back together again. Its almost April, I'm beginning to feel panicky......................................................................................
