• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

PAGE 25 OF OUR
F3 OPERATOR'S GUIDE....
CUSTOMER ACCESSORY CIRCUITS are shown to be in 3 places on our rides...
i'm trying to install aux-lites, and i've got to ask every1.... is the 1 in the frunk, the
'dead end' wire with the little 'yellow' cap...?
if so,
WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO WITH THAT...?
if
NOT... then where can i find it...?
also: if this is a circuit - is it
'live' always, only when the key is on, only when the engine is running...??? WHAT...?
the manual doesn't tell us much... less than perfect technical writing skills @ BRP i would say...

Not sure about the frunk wire, because the dealer hooked my GPS up to it; but I know it's only live with the motor running (as are the others).

thx

On my F3, there is a wire with a White tag that states "Customer".

It was plastic wire tied to another wire - so clip / cut the plastic tie to separate the wires.

The wire is tightly tapped - so remove the tap slowly (without cutting your fingers). The negative wire (in my case was longer, and is cleared first. Keep peeling away the tape until the positive is clear.

I did a volt check, and the motor must be on to get a reading.

Good Luck - it is a pain (in the back) to work on this wire.

PS - I had the dealer put in the Aux Lights, and I believe they connected them directly to the fuse box.

thx

I do not know for sure (I should find out in case I need to replace the fuse).

According to pages 116/117 from on line operators guide is

http://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/...44e-986c-b1fbada6a106&brands=roadster&type=og

It is either Fuse 6 / Right Fuse Box / 10 A - Cust acc. circuits, or
Right JCase Fuse Box 2 / Accessories / 40A

Best guess - it's the 40A (next to the lo/hi headlamp position / 30A)

I would call the service department for confirmation, and to ask if the aux lights are prewired to the fuse box (this is the number 1 option)

The aux lights have been pre wired. There are supposed to be 3 customer circuits. I know one is under the rear seat. One behind the frunk and one on the left side (not sure where as I can find it).

All three of the aforementioned Customer circuit wiring points are on the same fuse and fused at 10A, not 40A. I'm running my GPS, heated gear and J&M CB radio off the circuit without problems.

The BRP Aux lights simply plug in to the OEM connector already there behind the mount. Wiring for the switch is already installed as well.

The one you cannot find is under the center console cover. NOT the left lateral panel as the manual says. Its nearly directly below the instrument cluster, taped up to the larger harness like the one behind the frunk bucket.

I was able to get to one on the left side through the left service panel. Point a flashlight in and look towards the top for a wire zip tied to a braided bundle.

On my F3S

the customer power source is definitely accessed through the left lateral service panel. Look for the "customer tag"

Thanks. I will have to dive in there a little more.
