• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Crunching gears going into 1st & reverse.

Jumped on my 2012 Spyder RT this morning to run some errands. From a still position, after putting the spyder in 1st gear, I hear gears grinding. After a few seconds, that stops and the engine acts sluggish like there is water in the gas. At 20 mph everything works fine. The grinding happens sometimes starting in reverse. Did a 200 mile ride yesterday. No sign of any problems. I washed it yesterday and it drove fine going into the garage. It is at Redline Motorsport here in Myrtle Beach. It'll be a week before they can get to it.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the oil?

Well....

i see from your profile it is an Se5 so you should start with the oil level and condition and last change. Will be interesting to see what they find :gaah:

crunching gears

It's that damn washing; will screw things up every time you attempt to rearrange the dirt. Drive more, wash less!!!!:yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

Had to wash the Mrs. car, so did mine too. I agree. Drive more. I average 2000 miles per month.

It's been over a week and the dealer nor BRP have any idea what the problem is. Everything tests as OK. I need some wind therapy. This is very frustrating.

If the actuator is actually "actuating" :D: then it must be a software problem that isn't allowing the revs to cut out for a smooth shift...

I have my RT back home. Yeah! The TPS had to be reset!?
T.P.S. ? have 2012 also , I hear the noise also , but it seems too be on a slight incline for me , I can have it out , on flat surface , sounds good , but pull into garage , that has a little incline plus carpet { gotta park it on carpet , don`t we ? :D } will be interesting for reply ... thanks for the information leatherneck

My RT still did it a couple of times on my last ride. I'll have them check it again when I go for another service. Mine happens on flat surface. My driveway is sloped, but have not noticed it happening there. Checking the TPS must not be on their list of things to check. I guess we need to ask them to check it.
