• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

could this be the future of chicken farming

That is very sad, and VERY inhumane. :gaah:
The monster who dreamed that up should be strapped in one for about a Month; let him see the life he chooses to subject these animals to.
:lecturef_smilie: You should respect ALL life; even the choices on your menu!

There are many chicken/turkey farms in this area. The chickens are raised in long buildings that are screened on both sides and ends. There are fans that move the air in the hot weather. Heaters in the cold weather. Curtains are also used to block cold wind. Turkeys are raised the same way. I can always tell when they move the chickens from the farm down the road. The sides of the road are loaded with feathers. The largest turkey producing plant in the world is about 20 miles from me. And there is a chicken plant 5 miles away.

when i was young

i lived in east harlem ny and my school was saint anns school on 110 st between 1st and 2nd ave. right next to the school was a live animal slaughter house, so every day after school we would go into there and play with the ducks and sheep and rabbits and so on. so we also used to watch them kill the animals and skin or de feather them for costumers. so believe it or not to this day i will not eat chicken if it is on the bone. if it is cutlets or fingers i will eat it but never on the bone. but i also have been on a cattle slaughter house when i was a lil older and we used to hunt wood chuck in greenwood lake nj and i have no problem eating steak so go figure

We have came a long ways. I guess we should also do that to people and start feeding on ourselves with ourselves. I hunt, fish, and eat meat, but that is just not right.

Lol.. have you got any idea how they raise egg layers now? This is actually more humane if they remove the cerebral cortex so they are essentially brain dead. I worked on Chicken farm for 6 years in my youth so I have plenty of experience on how we manage mass production. The good thing about chickens is that they are only a few digits more intelligent than the alternative and I doubt they would know the difference.

Man has risen to the top of the evolutionary ladder, it takes a lot of protein to feed our brains. Animal lovers can default to vegetables, fruit and nuts-after few generations we can use the new, less intelligent human off-shoot for cheap labor, lol.

I LIKE your way of thinking! :2thumbs:
Wait a minute...
Will cheao labor be cheap, once you figure in medical benefits?? :yikes:

I don't believe not eating meat will make us less intelligent, but to each their own. I also don't believe one has to be an animal lover to disagree with this method of food production. I do believe to be human is to be humane. Was Mike Vick right in the way he treated dogs?

Of course he was not right but in Asia they eat dogs so they are a food source. I don't believe in animal cruelty any more than the next person, but as the apex predictor on the planet we must eat and protein, in what ever form, is required. Frankly I just commented to stir the pot to see what rose to the surface, lol.
