to put air in the rear tire? :gaah: I know the answer is yes they could but what a PITA. But the good news is I checked my oil, tires, lights and then went on my first ride of the season. It was great. Dodging potholes with 3 wheels is a little tricky but pothole season should only be a month or two long.

Seems like the least BRP cudda done is have the valve stem a little higher off the rim and a little longer. I don't have any problems with the way it is, but I agree, seems like it could be a little bit more user-friendly.

Could there be an after-market valve stem that would fit that description?

Just like oil changes ... the next design change may require you to go to the dealer to get your air fill / checked.:roflblack: Some of these stuffs really makes me wonder who the hell did the QC on these things.

I'm sure they could if they gave that task to the guys who designed the airbox. nojoke

I do not yet have a Spyder, however my Burgman 650 scooter has very close quarters to air the tires. I bought a 90 degree valve extension, screw it on, air the tire, remove the extension and away I go.

It's not too hard to get to if you use one of those extensions that are used on trucks with dually tires - use the "push" end of the gauge or air hose - works for me.

The rear tire is difficult to check the air pressure. I have found an air pressure gage that clips onto the tire valve stem and a connection for an air hose. It works great. It is called the EZ Air. Here is the link to the web page: http://www.getagage.com/

Just to let you good folks know that I picked my 2011 RT A/C package
on 03/16/2011. My 2009 Spyder SE5 is gone. What a nice ride
