• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin Seat Input PLEASE

OK fellow Spyderlovers...narrowing it down to Corbin seat owners...I have a reserved Corbin build date of 8/2..going to "ride-in".
Any and all opinions as to options etc that you like and why: I sat on Lamont's Lamonster Cut at Spyderfest and was impressed. Heated seat??? Arm rests for passenger?? Anything else..please give me your pros/cons.
I plan on knowing EXACTLY what I want when I show up in their parking lot - eagerly anticipating my new "saddle"...thanks for your input..all opinions gladly accepted!!!

I didn't get the Lamonster cut because I wanted to sit higher and I love the seat. Also got the arm rests (have Corbin install them!) and my wife loves them as well. We didn't get the passengers back rest, but did buy the small (not the toilet seat version) of the drivers back rest - love it as well. But I will say that I normally ride without the backrest since it's easier for my wife to get on and off without it, and not having it on gives her a little more room, and I am perfectly fine without it, at least for several hours. On long trips I put it in.

It's a toss-up as to whether the Corbin products or the Elka shocks have been my best upgrade. If I had to choose though, the nod would go to the Corbin.

Relax and enjoy unsurpassed comfort. The Corbin is the best seat I've ever had on a bike.

:agree: We absolutely love our Corbins (RS & RT, backrest & passenger armrests.) But I have to warn you, it could create a problem because since we've added our Corbins, we don't have to stop to rest as often, so we don't get as many pictures!!! :roflblack: :roflblack:

Love the Corbin with the lamonster cut and the backrest is a nice addition. I didn't get the passenger backrest or the armrest yet and you will love the gas door. This along with the hiway pegs really make it a much more comfortable ride

Love are Corbin heated seats with back pad and armrests of course with the spyder stitching and Lamonster cut . Only negative is the armrests block out some off the rear speakers sound .

We chose not to get heated seats or driver back rest, but did get the trunk rest and arm rests. I still have to get the arm rests installed.

If I had it to do again I would have had the Spyder stitching in white thread and white piping to accent the white of the Limited. According to the guy I spoke with at Corbin said he has tricked a number of Spyders for folks. His name is Don.

Our next Spyder will get the custom treatment by Corbin.

That's the way our seat is with the white stitching and piping . Got to say the most challenging part of the install is the armrests .

Get the Lamonster Cut, heated seats (work great!) and solid back rest.
I stuck with the standard leather and black trim.

Love the Corbin Seat

Drive in service was perfect up in Hollister Ca. Make sure you go to Johnny's the night before. Did everything but the heated seat, even got some nice embroidery done on the passenger backrest, all at no extra cost.

Rode up from San Diego 500 miles on the factory seat and was more than butt tired. The ride home on the Corbin for me was so much better.

If anyone wants to buy the stock seat with utopia back rest will let it go cheap!!..

The gas door is worth the price of admission!!
