We carry a small collapsible cooler right in the front of the trailer. When we stop you can get at it by opening the front lid. Works great if you don't want to carry too much in it.

This is true. The violent bouncing from the swing arm damaged my trailer and broke all the bottles in the cooler. I built a custom frame mount hitch to solve the problem but never used it before selling the spyder and returned to two wheels It's now in the steel pile behind the shop.I bought a used hitch rack and made it into a cooler rack for the 622 trailer. Works well too. It does mount to the tongue of the trailer and has room when making turns.
Just keep in mind that since its mounted to the rear swing arm things in the cooler will get shook up and anything fragile may get damaged

What type of swivel hitch did you get? I have been looking at sites this evening for one for my 622. Thank youI seen that hitch you made..Really like to have tried one of those out myself
I also put a swivel hitch on my 622 it does help more around turns and less stress on the trailer

We have pulled the trailer thousands of miles with the cooler in the front and have never had an issue with any type of glass bottles. Everyone has their own ideas and that is fine but my experience is put a small cooler wherever you decide to put it and then get on your Spyder and ride it like you stole it. The 622 trailer is going to follow you like its on rails and your favorite beverage is going to be there for you when you stop.I like that idea, especially when I saw a new rack set up for $500. Way to much for me
