• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Headed off post today I was caught in a line of traffic at a stoplight, just my luck an Military Policeman was sitting in a drive right where I had to stop. I looked over at him and he was pointing at me and moving his lips saying something. Not sure if I was being reprimanded for something prior I pulled in beside him, he said he was just telling me he liked my ride. Did I mention I was on the Spyder.

Well if you've got to have any conversation with an individual who's carrying a gun and a badge, that's the one to have! :congrats::2thumbs:

Mo Lee,

I'm not trying to jack your thread; but, I have a question.

I live about 1 1/2 hrs from Ft. Drum in NYS. I've never been on the base with the spyder and I was wondering what they look for at the gate; like helmets and inspection. I just don't want to travel to Ft. Drum and then get turned away.

Thanks

Most bases require long sleeves, long pants, full fingered gloves, over the ankle hard shoes, DOT approved helmet, highly visible/reflective vest or etc and MSF card for motorcycle safety course along with registration and proof of insurance. I would contact the post to see what else may be required before making the trip.

requirements for military bases.

All motorcycle riders must have a helmet, full length shirt, full length pants, some style of protective boots, and a reflective vest. You also must show your ID card or a drivers license, proof of insurance, and registration for the :spyder2:. I served 23 years in the Air Force and lived in Syracuse, N.Y. and now live in Columbia S.C. and go to Fort Jackson every week. They check my ID card and wave my :spyder2: through. Sometimes they stop me just to talk about the :spyder2:. They sometimes make sure that I have gloves on.
