Concept Design - Spyder ST Facelift

Hey all

It's winter in MN and despite having the Spyder on the road every month of 2020 it's been under cover for a few weeks and I'm getting twitchy. So, decided to go forward with a bit of aesthetic updates (currently black Spyder ST). This is my concept design - planning to use vinyl so I can change it as needed, I'll do a DIY badge removal and Vinyl wrapping of a Spyder video if it works.. hah.



Thoughts? Feedback on the design?

Sometimes less is better, this is one of those times. I like the color combo, but I'm somewhat biased since blue is kinda my favorite color.

Very tasteful. When it comes to my vehicles, I am very conservative. What you plan to do, I find quite appealing, even tough I'm a "paint it red guy."

Thanks for the feedback! I'm a little obsessed with this design - with any luck I'll have pictures of the actual thing within the week. I have a buddy that rides with me that responded to me doing this with, before I could even show him the concept, "Please.. just.. don't put spider webs on it for the love of God"

I may have to sneak one into a corner just to see if he notices..

Biggest issue I'm anticipating is removing the rear quarter panels. I'm foolishly optimistic about the rest of it..

Very nice, understated, with just enough highlights. When can you do my 17RTL

“Final” version - made some adjustments to accommodate my skill level with the material. May add some Spyder logos back to it.. but I like it!

Two afternoons? Biggest part of the time spent was figuring out where design and amateur talent intersected. I threw away a lot of material from being a bit over-ambitious at the start. I have a contact that does this professionally that warned me going in that they charge as much or more to wrap a motorcycle than they do a car or truck because of the complexity of the panels.

Once I figured out the design that I could execute well on the one side, the other side took maybe an hour to complete
