• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Communications question for a Bluetooth Headset

Has anyone tried to use a Bluetooth earbud inside a full face helmet, and had any success in receiving a call while riding?
Any recommendations on what Bluetooth works well, or would a wired earbud work better?
Not really interested in talking to a passenger.

Thanks

Scalar Q2 MultiSet. Works like a champ and rarely if even have issues. People on the other end of the line don't even know I am on the phone unless I am cranking on it. You can get the Q2 single..pretty cheap.

+1 for the Scala Q2. No problems with it linking to my Verizon phone and from what I have been told, its nice and clear too.

I was going to mention the Scala Q2; but, you said you didn't want to talk to a passenger. In any case, when you are on the phone through the Scala, the person at the other end has no idea you are out riding.

I guess now you'll have to wait for someone to chime in with earbuds and bluetooth and no passenger.

I recently purchased the Q2 multi set from ebay for $249 before our trip, and I have to say it was awesome. Worked very well for communicating (although you arent looking for that).

I used the mp3 capable to listen to my ipod which sounded really good even at higher speeds. If you can wait, the new Scala G4 should be shipping in Sept, which gives you stereo bluetooth and longer range.

Sorry. Forgot to mention the IMC have a cable now that fits your earbuds and still lets you use the boom mike and bluetooth.
