• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oh and you said they ride Harleys? Well I'll put it this way for those mean tuff ole' Harley riders - they ARE NOT bikers - most are Rubs or Moto Enthusiats who wanna blow 25K on a Big Bad Harley and then decorate the thing w/ thousands of dollars of Chrome. I'll tell ya - I know many Harley riders and less than half are what I call bikers. They are nothing but rubs or enthusiasts. Bikers don't spend all that money on chrome - they spend it on performance, they RIDE TO RIDE. The only Harley owners I know that actually RIDE 'EM are HDX, Roaddog and very few of my friends and I can say even some my close friends are nothin but RUBS - Hell I know people who freakin keep their leathers lookin like new - that is a rub or enthusiast.

A biker is someone who RIDES, who doesn't care what they ride so long as it makes THEM happy, and doesn't give a flying you know what if they get waved at or not. All these Harley wanna bees make me sick - it's not what I grew up with. They marketed it right - HD got their money but they took the "biker" out of that machine - very few and far between who are now called "bikers" who REALLY RIDE.
I'M ROADDOG (NOBODY) AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE :spyder:

crash test?!

I read a few pages of the responses to that article and then got bored with the ignorance, but my favorite was the guy who wanted to see the results of the crash tests :hun:

More people who conveniently double the use of their head as their personal colostomy bag!

Scotty you must of done a wagon. I have a friend who has done a couple of them and used to take them to H-D rondeveous in NY:firstplace:
I hesitate to hijack the thread, especially when we are Harley bashing. :D I must admit that I love the wagons, and even started working on one, but I got sidetracked. Part of the problem was finding room for the Honda twin that I wanted to use for power. Sort of took up the space needed for the steering. I have been working on a pedal car, but that has been equally challenging. Guess I have no real incentive with this many toys. Easier years ago when I desperately needed a pit bike.

When ever I ride with my husband, who drives a beautiful Harley, I'm the one who gets all the looks and great comments. He thinks it's cool!
That about sums it up!

So, here's a positive metric. On the ride home today from work, on I-95 in CT, I had eight (8) cars take pictures as they went by and five (5) truck drivers give thumbs up. All in a 29 mile stretch.

I was laughing like hell. Drivers and passengers hanging out the window taking pics, smiling, waving, and yelling "cool."

My husband and I were at the local shop recently. And when I say local I mean we can see it from out house. While there checking out riding gear, I overheard the shop owner putting down the Spyders. I mean it was a long conversation about overpriced, dumb and who would buy that....blah blah blah. I got so mad I insisted we leave! My husband had bought a bike from them and they treated us right but I can't bring myself to go back there now.
