Lamonster Garage sent me a email asking me for a review Of what I purchased for my 2017 F3 LTD, so I decided to do it here instead. Everything Arrived very quickly and in several boxes.
Baja Ron Swaybar
Install went smooth and it is preforming like advertised, I have better confidence to Be as aggressive as I dare and feel like I am on rails. If you are wondering how I got the spyder high enough to install the swaybar, I have a set of ramps I put on the tailgate of my pickup. I drove the spyder about half way up and parked it there, (with safety straps of course). It was high enough to work under the spyder on my creepy crawler to do the swaybar and bumpskid. One other critisism is the supplied Heim link bolts are not painted and stand out with everything else painted black. I need to get back under there to paint them black.
Bumpskid
I got the one without lights because I do not want to have electrical issues with something that is making contact with the ground on a regular basis. Easy install and great quality.
Cat Bypass
I love this mod! I ended up adding the supplied canopener baffle and it sounds great! Too loud for my taste without it.
Fog lights
They are a must! The only issue is when I turn them on, they ruin my radio reception. I sent Lamonster a message and they are sending me a set of RF filters to resolve that issue.
Fog light white and amber rings
Another must with the fog lights! I do not need to keep the fog lights on with these running light rings, they are very bright and turn amber with every signal.
Show Chrome fender lights
Very nice quality and makes me more visible out there. I dont know why this is not a standard on these spyders. They are wired into the ring kit and work together as run/ signal/flashers.
Rear LED light kit with top case Brake Run/turn /strobe.
It is not advertised but these also include a modulator that flashes the brakes for even more visibility. There was a issue with these, They caused my whole signal system to go nuts. I called Harvey at Spyderpops and he said the people that assemble them sometimes put a diode in backwards. I was getting brake signals up front which is not good. He is sending me a replacement right side harness. It freaked the dealer out when I took it in for another issue. Turns out it will be an easy fix. The directions are really good and it is all plug and play.
Roadster renovations vibration damper
Easy install and my Ryde is smooth now, Thanks Doc! The instructions refer you to a video that Lamonster did for installing the BRP damper which is the same procedure. I did not have the special tools he used in the video so what I ended up doing is dropping a allen key in one hole and pulling the damper down flat with a strap from underneath enough to get the bolt on from the top. This damper has the holes elongated to be able to adjust the damper in and out which came in handy because the supplied wood spacer made the arm hit the spyder. I was able to adjust it in just enough to clear the floorboard bracket. I used a couple of paint stir sticks to check the alignment of the arm and it was right on.
Garmin 590LM Refurb.
Im still having a few issues with connection. The polarity is backwards for some reason and I had to swich the wires around for it to work.
Lamonster F3 GPS mount
This is what I used to mount the GPS. Quality could not be better only I wish he would have made it a little lower profile. The GPS does block a little of the lower dash display.
