• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No point in letting those comments get me worked up, individuals have the right to their own opinions. I ride only what I want to ride and don't base my decisions off of what others do, say, or think.

true and you are right but it still piss me off i agree not every one is of the same option but listing to those people makes me wonder what thay were basing the information on :read:

Keep in mind that what you are dealing with here is a sub-human species known as the "Internet Troll." These creatures operate on a level of low cunning, not really intelligence as we know it, but a kind of primal ability to know what to say to annoy and harass thinking, rational human beings. I believe they are subterranean dwellers, who rarely venture out from behind their monitors in the light of day. They may have some human attributes (including an ability to type), but are truly not like the rest of us. They have no real lives, and therefore exist only to mock those of us who do.
In a perfect world, we would have the ability to reach through our computer screens and choke the life out of them, but alas, that is a dream. :D

Cheers,

Bruce

...brainless old farts who have been riding before time and stuck in the past with no outlook to the future...
Hey, don't knock all of us old geezers. Some of us like Spyders, too. Fifty years of riding hasn't ruined all our brains, only the ones whose owners sit on them. ;) Seriously, I never read the comments on those Internet articles. Seems that they are all full of poison, and often written again and again by the same screen names. Save your sanity, skip the comments.

Watch your mouth Sonny!

I brainless old farts who have been riding before time and stuck in the past with no outlook to the future

During the eleven years I rode the Pacific Coast about twice a week I would get the comment that I should be riding a Harley. Since I knew that they were still peeing in their diapers I would ask them what they were riding when I had my NEW '60 DuoGlide.

So they think I'm rich huh?

Oh and you said they ride Harleys? Well I'll put it this way for those mean tuff ole' Harley riders - they ARE NOT bikers - most are Rubs or Moto Enthusiats who wanna blow 25K on a Big Bad Harley and then decorate the thing w/ thousands of dollars of Chrome. I'll tell ya - I know many Harley riders and less than half are what I call bikers. They are nothing but rubs or enthusiasts. Bikers don't spend all that money on chrome - they spend it on performance, they RIDE TO RIDE. The only Harley owners I know that actually RIDE 'EM are HDX, Roaddog and very few of my friends and I can say even some my close friends are nothin but RUBS - Hell I know people who freakin keep their leathers lookin like new - that is a rub or enthusiast.

A biker is someone who RIDES, who doesn't care what they ride so long as it makes THEM happy, and doesn't give a flying you know what if they get waved at or not. All these Harley wanna bees make me sick - it's not what I grew up with. They marketed it right - HD got their money but they took the "biker" out of that machine - very few and far between who are now called "bikers" who REALLY RIDE.

I READ THE ARTICLE BUT WHO CARES. EVERYONE I RUN INTO MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A ROCKSTAR ON MY BIKE. I LOVE THE ATTENTION(GUESS THEY DONT SURF THE NET). AND SINCE WHEN WAS A THREE WHEELER FOR THE DISABLE......THATS PURE NONSENSE.

OH YEAH AND 15K PURCHASE MAKES YOU RICH THAN I GUESS I AM A MILLIONAIRE

I get that a lot, with my varied collection. Sometimes I politely explain to them that I have fallen off Harleys faster than they have ever even ridden them. Dumped my fuel bikes at the long end of the drag strip twice back in the seventies, at over 150 mph. I'll ride anything I darned well please. I have earned it!

Let it slide off, some folfs just like to tick people off. The only one who has ticked me off so far was someone at work who kept it up for days asking me when I was going to take the training wheels off. I finally smiled and said when he grew a pair and agreed to ride 2 or 3 wheels with me. He hasn't said anything since!

Im glad im a part of this site down to earth people you guys are great:chat: as for nancys toy you sir you rock i don't know anyboby else who would strap a 5hp motor to a little cycle like that very cool you are not what i was speaking of  after owening the spyder it very hard not to like it you end up telling every one you come across how great it is i guess i just need to let thing like that slide :spyder:

What to ride...

I chose the Spyder because it's a great ride, is certainly safer than a 2 wheeler, and it's the next great thing on the road...with ABS and VSC, how can you go wrong??

In my state, the Harley owners tried to block the Spyder from being considered a motorcycle...they failed but they did force another license classification for 3 wheelers...to this, I say, who cares!

Has anyone told the Harley folk that the Rotax is being used in the Harley sport bikes? I guess not! I'll take a liquid cooled engine over antiquated air cooled motorcycle engines any time!!!!!

The Spyder is the hottest thing on the road and I'm more than happy to ride mine around...to all those who care to make negative comments, I'll just consider it jealousy!

That was a little buggy to read...I posted, sure I will get blasted...should be fun to check in a few days.

I think you'll find ignorance and stupidity go hand in hand.
You wouldn't want to know these halfwits in real life.
So why let their ill informed, inane comments get to you.

Just go for a ride and all will be forgotten.

When people say stuff like that to me, I assume they are just jealous of my sweet ride, and aren't man enough to admit it!
