Well I got around to changing my oil for the first time. I came up an idea for a container to drain the oil into. It seems that most of the oil companies came up with the five quart jugs. So, I took one of these that was empty and cut a hole in the side. Leaving the cap on, this makes a low profile drain container.
It's got handles on so it makes it easy to move around under the Spyder. Better than the bulky one I use for my truck.
I bet you now thinking how is he going to drain the container? Well, I got one of those pumps I have used to put gear lube into the differentials of my truck. I put the pump into the drain container and the hose into the empty Amsoil bottles and filled them with the drained oil.
You can get the last little bit of oil out of the drain container by unscrewing the cap and pouring the remainder into one of the quart bottles.
Feel free to copy my idea.
