• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Changing Oil

I have a question for the experts. I will be leaving my Spyder in Florida for about six months in my garage. The oil change will be due just about when I leave. Are there any plus or minus's to change before I leave or wait till I return.

I always change the oil and lube the A arms before I store the bike for the winter ( 4-5 months) It gets rid of all the contaminants and I start fresh in the spring .

Me i would change it because it's due anyway, Why leave dirty oil set in the crankcase for 6 months.
Also put some kind of gas treatment in the gas tank run it a while to get the treatment in the system, then make sure the tank is full.

OIL CHANGE

yes do the oil change,.....and absolutely put Stabil or similar in the gas tank and run engine as directed in 6 mos. that gas will be crap......Mike:thumbup:

I agree with everyone else, put new oil in and put stabilizer in the gas. Will make life easier later on.
