• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

cell phone mounts

good evening all, i am a new member and about to buy my first spyder on which will be a 2018 F3-T or the F3 limited. My question is what type of mounts for your cell phone do you know? I know the 2018 display is digital, has its own GPS on which links to your phone, but i can not get away from my waves app due to all the info it provides. I have always likes the Ram Mounts and this one is what I am looking at:https://www.amazon.com/Mounts-RAM-B...-8&keywords=cell+phone+mounts+for+motorcycles

Thank you

I tried that with my Samsung S7 in a Impact Gel case and ended up switching to a different mount because the "X" arms would always hit buttons on one side or the other, I used the IPOW cell phone mount,

removed it's included base and using some of those RAM mount components

and

and mounted it over my dash on my RT. You would need a different mount base for an F3 though. But I've rode thousands of miles over very rough roads and never was concerned about how firmly mounted the phone was, and it will fit ANY phone.

Look for a case/holster that's specific to your phone, and then mount it to a Ram mount. Another alternative is the X-Grip with a Ram mount.

If I attach these right you'll see how my phone is mounted

Hi,

I have a X-Grip mount with an iPhone 5SE. So far, I really like it.

I managed to pass my USB cable with all the other wires from the handle and I use the rubber gromet in the glove box to pass it through. So my USB cable is always available to connect to my iPhone and always connected inside the glove box.

Call Cindy at Tricled. She has just what you need. Got one put on my RT at Red Rock. Does a great job and holds phone safely.

I found mounting my phone where the sun could hit it directly caused it to overheat and shut down. Works good in the little dash cubby though.

I have this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XZTJ6KL?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I highly recommend it. For $9.95, it cannot be beat. It comes with a rubber strap (the red thing in the picture) for extra security, but I don't even use that. Place your phone on it and it stays, and simply pull it off when you need your phone. The magnet is plenty strong enough to hold my phone by itself and have had no issues after almost 2000 miles with it. The magnet has has absolutely no effect my phone.
