So you can receive calls, place calls and speak on the phone with nothing more than the BRP headsets??? Everything else cuts out while using the phone??
The reason I'm asking, even the dealer doesn't seem to know.
As of now, you have limited connectivity with the Zumo and the BRP headsets.
You can bluetooth the cell phone to the Zumo. Using the Zumo you can answer calls or place calls, and the Zumo transmits the incoming sound through the BRP headset.
Currently, there is no connection between the BRP microphone and the Zumo, so there is no outgoing sound to your cell phone through the BRP headset.
Specifically, you can hear the caller, but they can't hear you.
I'm using a work around, I have a throat mic that is connected to the mic input of the Zumo. It's comfortable to wear and only takes a few extra seconds to put on while I put on my helmet. I installed the Zumo myself, so I made sure to leave the Zumo mic connection readily accessible.
I've asked my dealer to find out what is special about the 2012 design that integrates the whole setup. It may be a module connected to the entertainment harness or something else simple. If it is a simple and inexpensive mod, I'll get my 2010 RT retrofitted.
If it requires replacing the radio, or something elaborate I'll just stick with what I have.
I suspect it's the former, and I'll post anything once I know for sure.
