• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help. Has anyone tried pairing the Packtalk bold units to the Spyder through BRP connect? The bike is asking to pair the phone and helmet. The phone was easy, but i'm not sure what to do when it asks to pair the helmet. Can't find any tutorial to assist with this. Tried lots of things. BTW, whats the advantage of pairing the helmet to the bike? I am a new owner of both any assistance would be appreciated.

You can put the Packtalk in cell phone or GPS pairing mode and the bike will make connections. I have my Packtalk paired to the bike as GPS and to the phone as phone 1. The problem is when we receive a phone call and when the call ends the headset pairs to the phone and not the bike which means no music or GPS.The Cardo app need the phone to be paired directly to the headset but then it won't get music/GPS. Kinda weird. If/when I get a call and the music doesn't come back I will delete the headset pairing to the phone. Search Youtube on how to pair headset to phone.

I've asked Cardo and all they say.

"Thank you for contacting Cardo Systems Support. Like TFTs and CarPlay, BRP Connect is a technology that enables some of your smartphone apps to directly access the Can-Am Spyder instrument cluster. This requires you to connect your devices directly to it(BRP Connect). This will render your Cardo unit as a speaker only and not able to fully access its capabilities. You will either need to pair your Cardo with your phone for the full features or your phone to the BPS Connect and your Cardo unit to BPS Connect to use as speakers.
