• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I ordered the Carchet Dual USB Power Port and wire harness from JT. Installed the USB in the middle blank dash switch. It looks like it's made especially for the Spyder.

That it does...

nicely done, congrats...:2thumbs: JT has quality stuff for our roadsters.....

That looks Great :2thumbs: . I been thinking of doing the same but didn't know how good it would look but now I'm doing it to

One note, you do not have to take the glove box off. The hole under the blank switch is a 1/2" round hole. I was able to cut the hole with a dremel for the switch with the switch panel still on the bike.

Where did you get the power from for the switch, Direct to the battery ??

If you order from JT, you can also order his wire harness for the USB port. It wires directly to the battery with a in-line 5 amp fuse

Is there any info on how the wiring was installed. Is there any easy way to fish the wire down to the battery on fuse panel.

I used a strand of 14 ga wire and fished it up from the battery in stages. Once you get the Tupperware off, you can see different areas to pull the wire up through the openings. It is somewhat difficult to explain or take pictures of how I did it.

I noticed light is on, does this drain battery if connected directly to battery?

No it doesn't drain the battery. There is very little amps drawn. Even before installing this, my bike is plugged in to a battery tender when parked in the man cave.
