• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can't get to front fuse panel

Accidentally grounded a gauge wire in the dash when checking with a meter. Thought it wasn't going to be a problem....wrooong!. The fuses under the seat are fine and I'm sure it's the fwd fuses, however I have and electric hood unlatch that wont unlatch because the fuse is blown. I need a little help with a way to get into the Frunk. If unable good bye Maggie Valley. I'm going to try some of the reach and pull tactics of old posts on older models . I have a 2012 RT with electric latches and added the Fog Light upgrade. Just liable to show up at Maggie with a missing trunk lid if I get mad enough.

Any and all remedies would be great fully received and tried. If I get in, a manual trip is in my near future.

Push down on your key, turn counter clockwise. the trunk should open. While you are there, dig out the manual and read up on the Spyder controls and features.

Saved by people that read

Thanks all, now I really feel stupid, but I learned something. What a relief, now I don't need a new trunk lid. I was almost at that point. Saved again by SpyderLovers.

Whew!

Thank Goodness for another problem solved!! At least we didn't have to mention the "Dynamite" method!! Hey, when all else fails....

Appreciated the one liners that got me out of my problem, that's all that was needed, short and to the point. Remembered the dealer showing me this because my Rocker switch didn't work when delivered. But today was one of those days. Guess I'll use the C4 for something else. See you all in Maggie Valley, I'll be the one on the Blue Spyder.

I thought I was the only one with a blue spyder coming to Maggie Valley...

I'll have to be careful and not try and start the wrong spyder :yikes:

It's a good thing you didn't lock your key in there!
After reading some posts on here about doing just that, I made an emergency release for the frunk using aircraft safety wire.

Sorry, I just had to do it. :joke:

Or have a user call IT Support asking where the 'Any Key' is on the keyboard...:banghead: "Just press the button that has no charachter imprinted", 'Oh, that would be the Space bar' :banghead::banghead: "It functions as the 'Any Key' as well!" Gotta love my job sometimes...:gaah:

Reminds me of the time I was trying to help a customer get logged into our software. I told him to enter his email address in the Login field.
<silence>
So I asked him again.
