• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can you say "ROAD TRIP" ?

I'm riding the Spyder along with a friend and his Harley up the central Michigan. We're leaving Thursday, taking the scenic route to attend a Pig Roast on Saturday.:ohyea: Wife decided to stay home this year so, instead of taking the camper or driving the car I get to do my first unchaperoned road trip.

Solo..!!

have a great and safe trip. It should be a blast remember what Roger said and behave yourself..!!

Have a great time and remember when asked how your trip was, instead of saying "GREAT IT WAS THE BEST TIME EVER!" bite your lip and say "It would have been perfect if only you were there to share it."

advice from a 39 year married guy.

Oh; you are just too slick for words... :2thumbs:

We can see why she keeps you around! ;)

If you're going anywhere from the Jackson area...I-94/US127 heading north thru Lansing up towards Higgins Lake/graying...Let me know..could meet up with you

Day 1 over but not without some excitement. We're setteled into our motel for the night after a late dinner. A little over 450 miles tody. It started out with a light drizzle when leaving home to go for breakfast. I led the way. I had to slow down after the first mile for my buddy and his Harley to catch up. When we got to the restaurant 12 miles later and he shuts off the Harley, first thing he say is "I hit a deer"! Turns out a small deer came out of the fence line 1/2 mile from my driveway right after I passed and ran into his Harley. Ended up bending the mount for his highway peg on one side and braking the plastic saddle bag on the left side. My friend was not hurt and he kept the bike upright.

Then after we ate breakfast his Harley went into limp mode with no throttle control. After poking around he found a loose connector that must have been jarred by the deer impact. Got it fixed and headed to Tractor supply for some duct tape to fix the saddle bag. Finally on our way 2 1/2 hours late.

Ran into rain twice, before reaching our motel tonight. Other than that the rest of the days ride was good.

A little over 300 miles to tomorrow.

I hope you got the excitement out of the way today and will have an uneventful trip tomorrow. Watch out though in Michigan they have plenty of deer there too.

Well, as I'm here in the "middle of the mitten".................................feel free to call for bail money should the need arise. Didn't say you'd get any.........................just that you could call. :joke:

Day 2 was better, almost :sour: Ran into lots of rain and an unexpected snag. We started north when we got to out planned route in western OH and ended up smack in the middle of the "WORLDS LONGEST YARDSALE". US 127, thousands of yardsales, rain, lots of traffic and most was very slow. We lost over 3 hours of time dealing with that mess.

Return trip on Sunday and Monday was great! Excellent weather, good roads, little traffic, all great riding. We covered 440 miles in 9 hours on Sunday. Arrived safely home Monday afternoon.
