• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Buyer beware

I would like to remind all my Spyder Ryder friends that just because someone on this forum describes something for sale, do your due diligence to ensure that the item is properly described as to Year, Condition etc.

Always good advise. Don't let the stars in your eyes obscure your vision! Look closely first. Then let the stars shine!

But you're a 'known member' Snoopy.... :lecturef_smilie: Possibly a bit of an old dog, but still a 'known member! :joke: :roflblack:

So why are you worried?? Got a guilty conscience?? :dontknow:

Well he doesn't have a location in his avatar!!!! Just saying!!!:2thumbs:

Trust but verify is a good way to look at the situation. The site cannot be responsible for vetting each and every ad. We are trusting the knowledge of the members to be careful before taking a long trip or putting out a lot of money for something that is not as advertised.

We have not had any major complaints so far, and the ads have kind of policed on their own.

We are thinking of putting up a "sticky" as a warning...but common sense would dictate to be careful anyway.

I've found in the past a good question to start with is, "Why are you selling such & such?" The way the answer is presented can be an early clue as to the authenticity of the sale.
