• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP survey

over the weekend I got a phone call from a company doing market research for BRP and the Spyder---I just bought one about a month ago.
They were very polite and professional and it was a well structured market survey. There were a couple of questions I thouht might be of interest....they wanted to know if I was aware of this site and if so how often I used it (also asked about some other sites). They wanted to know if the "cool" factor or being "the first to own one" were reasons for my procurring a spyder. They also wanted to know, if police started using the spyder would that affect the machine's "cool" factor. They wanted to know what feature of the spyder could be improved (had to whine a little about cooling system capability) ...anyway fyi

As far as the Police getting them, that would make them that much cooler in my book. :doorag::spyder:

I received the exact same survey about 10 days ago. Pretty cool I thought. Had a similar survey back in '99 when I was one of the first to buy a New Gen Yamaha Venture.

did tell them that I thought this web site was the best around and some of the infor I got her,e before I bought mine, helped move me forward (and I got questions answered here the dealer was lost answering)....also told them the police bikes would be pretty cool

Good Police Plan

I think the purchase of Spyders for the police will improve law enforcement. Now, only those who can ride a motorcycle are accepted as cycle patrol----with Spyders, many more men and women could fill the ranks----I'm just wondering if the Spyders of tomorrow will be better than the ones we have today. I'd like to see a four cylinder engine, something like the Yamaha FJR 1300 or one of the many other fours, installed in the Spyder----I believe that would make a significant difference.

i gave spyder high mark on most of questions except reliability and spyder being not so modular for a high-tech vehicle.
i gave 1 for reliability out of 10 they asked me why a 1 and i told them my spyder has been in shop for 30 days out of 34 days i owned the thing at that time.

I received the same type of call last Thursday.
The initial line is that if u participate , u will be entered into a drawing for $1000. worth of spyder gear.

There were also a nest of questions around riding background, motorcycle experience and off road/atv experience.
Pretty professional company doing it. Very structured and very easy to answer the questions . Also took time for comments.
