BRP Passenger Seat Bag?

Smylinacha

Yellinacha
Anyone have it? I see it's listed for $134 but I can get it other places like Ebay for around $105. I have a nelson rigg roll bag on the passenger seat right now but just want something that looks nicer. Wondering if anyone has anything to say about the BRP bag? Or anyone use anything else? Gotta have something that straps to those passenger rails.

Thanks!

I have one. Works good. One of the front straps came unsewn a while ago, just makes it easier to fill the gas tank now.

P.S. - I appear to have exceided the "never exceed" speed for my colors :gaah:All I have left is a 1" stub of flagstaff:yikes::(

You are doing great with your colors! You gotta make it go down to just the stick! You are way ahead of me - I'm just in tatters and shreds. Guess I gotta ride more LOL

I used to have one and it worked very well. I strapped it to the grab rails and it was easy to just undo the front straps only for fueling up. It has the handle on top as well as a should strap and is padded so I felt good using it for my laptop. I got rid of it when I bought my bikerfriend bag that I use as a backrest too. Other than that, I was pretty happy with the bag. It also fit perfectly into the front truck. The shape is made for the front trunk and the line of the back seat. I will post one of my old photos for you.

I have mine and use on over nite trips. I like to put my rainsuit in there so I don't have to open the trunk. I bought in the classifieds here for $60 or & $70. I see the once in a while on ebay too.

That's the one you saw on my bike.

Thanks for the replies! Only thing I don't like is the gray color in it. I want all black. Or wish they'd made it color coordinated for the red & yellow spyders. Plus it's not 100% waterproof is it? So I'll stick w/ the Nelson Rigg roll bag I have. I didn't like my bag because it had these velcro straps that I used to use when I had the Harley - that went around the sissy bar but just now I went downstairs, took the bag off my Spyder and proceeded to cut off the ugly velco straps....Looks 100% better!!!

So now I can save that money and put it towards Christmas presents . gotta make due w/ what I got for now. When I win big on scratchies, I'll buy some more accessories and if I win really really big, I'll have a huge party and you're all invited!:2thumbs:

I got a brand new one off of Ebay for a very reasonable price. As far as it not being 100% waterproof, we had everything from a spitter to a torrential downpour everyday that we rode the Natchez Trace. And it just so happened the day we had the downpour my rain gear stayed nice & dry inside my bag. :gaah: Needless to say I had water running out of my boots for quite awhile.:cus:

We also have one, my wife uses it on her Spyder and loves it. We got it from the dealer for $49.95. :)

I can definitely understand making do with what you have in order to buy more Christmas presents though.

Well maybe I'll wait till after christmas, see if I have any cash left. I don't like the gray though - wish it was yellow to go w/ the Spyder. Trunk is enough room but just wanted another area w/ easy access for other stuff. :) for now, I'll keep what i got.

Nancy has a BRP seat bag and uses it all the time. Very handy! Not 100% waterproof, but it does quite well in a mild rain with the rubber flaps on the zippers. There is a place in the bottom to carry a laptop computer if you wish. BTW, it does fit on the BRP Comfort Seat, too, even though the back portion of that seat is smaller. For trips, I use a Helen2Wheels bag and/or a Seal-Line bag laid across the back seat, though, secured with packing straps (Helen2Wheels, Rok-Straps, or PiggyBack Straps).

OK! I am liking it - it's all Black! How did you put it on? does it just simply strap onto the hand rails?

Two bungies in an X configuration with hooks on both ends (4 hooks total) connected to the passenger handle.

It also has a carry handle and has zippers that allow it to expand like an accordian for additional storage space. It's also compatible with a saddlebag system, but I don't know if that'll work with the Spyder.

And it also comes with a rain cover.

I've got one and used it to keep tools and other things on the trip to TN. Mike and I went thru the most rain I ever have seen on the Spyder - and everything inside stayed 100% dry.

Works well for me.

The black Cortec is sharp. I don't use the BRP bag much b/c of the color. nojoke Silly :hun:?

My wife and I both have one, it holds two days worth of cloths if packed right, we leave it on the bike all the time handy for taking in a motel after a long ride.

That is the one that I use. It works great! I had it on my spyder the day we went to the Hillsdale Diner. I should of shown it to you. It is expandable and has some extra side pockets as well as some inner small pockets for pens, maps, keys or whatever. The price is not too bad for what you get. It's a nice bag. I think you would like it!

This is the sport bag from Newenough with some various photos describing the options. They have a good price on this bag too.

I forgot to mention, with the cortech tail bag you don't have to remove or detach the mounting cords to add fuel to the gas tank. The cords stretch enough without removing them. You do however need to hold the seat up because the bag will tend to push the seat down.
