• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP News

OMG

I just hope they work hard on having quality dealers.

:agree::agree::agree::agree::agree:, and to go a step further Dealers who hire Techs or Train Techs that can actually Properly work on your Spyder........:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:...............Mike

New dealers

We should remind BRP that it is not the quantity it is the quality, so far I in my area I don't have ANY dealer I can trust and BRP did absolutely nothing dealing with my local dealer so I can use the warranty I got from BRP.

BRPs financial success should help the attract better dealers. No one wants to represent a company that is struggling and everyone wants to work for the leader of the pack....

:agree:i'd like to see that article say," looking for 50 service oriented quality dealers." (not 50 dealers):agree:

So, at the end of the article they say motorcycle sales were flat. Do you think this was caused by the 2013 Rt/ST "Issues" that scared people away? 2014's seem to be flying out the door here in the Chicago area in spite of the less than ideal spring.

While you certainly don't want growth to exceed ability, do remember: the more dealers BRP has, the more opportunity there is for competition.

Right now, if you have one local dealer, it doesn't much matter what *BRP* does-- the dealer has both BRP *and* the customer over the barrel.

But put two-- or more-- dealers in the area, and suddenly customers have choices, and BRP also has increased leverage as well (they can favor one dealer over another and still maintain local market share).

:agree: also that new dealers should be "quality oriented dealers". More is not always better, but maybe the increased competition will kick in and weed out some of the bad ones. :bbq::bbq::bbq:

And if that one dealer does a superb job of taking care of customers it'll be much harder for a second dealer to get established!

That is great news.

I just found out a couple of weeks ago that I have a new dealer opening 20 miles from me. They have been a honda powersports dealer for many years and I feel they are one of the best dealers that I have ever been to in the US. So can't wait for them to get up and running within 30 days with Can-Am. :)
