I am unaware that my cell can use a sat signal when away from cell towers. I'll have to look into that.
I have used Garmin products for over 25 years and I am used to them. It would be good to know about backups just in case.
My Honda is the NC750X DCT with the fully automatic transmission. Basically it is a road bike with increased ride height and styled after an Adventure Bike. It does have a frunk. What looks like a gas tank actually houses some electronics and the air filter. The rear of the faux gas tank is a frunk big enough to hold a full face moduar helmet with a Cardo Freecom unit. The gas tank is under the seats. Other than the DCT transmission it has none of the cool features of the Goldwing.
