• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP a no show at SITR

AWOL

We love the tech guys, who can answer real questions! Too bad they did not attend this fantastic event! Next year, be there!

So what does (which model will be dropped) have to do with BRP not showing up at SITR as promised? Total thread HiJack.

Finless said BRP was a no show at 3 other events promised. SITR makes 4. That's 4 out of 7 promised. These were to take the place of the Owners Event. Maybe there thinking about dropping the entire line of Spyders.

BRP is starting to remind me of "politicians" with all there promises that they never keep!

Jack

I have no inside knowledge of what was promised to who but from what I gathered BRP promised financial support for the events, not tech support. Feel free to correct me if something else was said or documented. :dontknow:

I myself am going to argue but I guess we will see who guessed best.

The RS has a much lower out the door cost than a F3. The ST is almost the same price as the F3.

Why cut your entry level lower priced Spyder?
To me, the ST from a price point, is the best decision to eliminate because of the F3 has almost the same price point as the ST.

Anyone wanna bet me a burger or a beer?

(I am sure Lamont will correct me if I am wrong) :)

Bob

Then again thinking about it......

The 998 could go by way of the dino!

That is all 998 Spyders are gone!!!!! Replaced with the 1330 across the board!

F3 and RT are the only line up in 2016....

Why continue to have multiple manufacturing lines doing Spyders with 998's and 1330's?

So my "OTHER BET" is that the 998 is gone in 2016 and only the F3 (and derivatives) and the RT remain.

Just my other "best guess" :)

Bob

I think you were right the first time, Bob.

I am going to doubt that "a little"......

The F3 is sporty! Possibly more sporty than the RS.

I don't see how they would make an F3 into a RS and give that lower price point. At least not this year which is why I said above "derivatives"......
Probably not in 2016.

If they keep the RS I bet it will remain a 998.

Bob

I think they'll keep the RS 998 as an entry level machine. I think they also need to keep it for all the folks that just really like that "crotch-rocket" riding style.

Contact info for the PR gal was on that press release. Why not ask her if their lack of
an appearance is an issue with you?

Now now...why do that when you can speculate wildly and try to whip people up into an unnecessary frenzy? :roflblack:

Ouch! Well actually they were to have a BRP tech here but they fired him 5 days before the rally and the BRP rep who was to talk bailed out.

Jack

Side by Side

I made made a decision to buy th ST over the F3. It is 2 different riding styles. I bought the ST because I believe it is the best bike for touring outside of the RT. Better storage, ability to pull a trailer, etc. Also, I bought the ST Limited for about $8-10,000 less if you added the same options to the F3-S. Very happy with my decision!
dont know if I could feel that way. The F3 has many looks and fits. It adapts to your riding style, unlike the ST

Our rally is gonna be in early September, maybe we will see them there and maybe not. I am more interested in putting the event on for the owners of the spyders, rather than the manufacturer. I know for a fact that BRP has stepped up with support for SpyderQuest III, and the NY Spyder Riders greatly appreciate it. If a rep happens to show up.......Great. If they do not, we will still have all the group rides, and party like rock stars.

One more thing..........Come to the dark side, we have cookies :2thumbs:

Just sayin'...........

If you really read the press release, BRP only committed to "sponsor" these events. Does this mean that they contributed money to these individual events? :dontknow:if so, for what?:dontknow: They never committed to actually "be" at these events. It's an avoidance technique. If they are not there, they don't have to talk to anyone.

:popcorn::bdh::coffee::lecturef_smilie: OFF TOPIC...............

BRP where are you at Redwoods ?

My bad :opps:. I get distracted very easily when my meds wear off. Does anyone at the rally know the name of the new rep for the area? Maybe a phone call could be made if a number could be found? I was fairly certain that BRP was monitoring this web site, but I could be wrong. Hope you hear something soon.

Just sayin'............

If you read the entire memo it indicates they were supposed to be there.

"In addition to the Owner's Events, the complete 2015 Can-Am Spyder line up will appear at..."

I stand corrected. But they still don't want to talk to anybody.
