• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brand new Spyder RT rider needs an answer!

When the 2-wheelers point two fingers down, you respond with three fingers down.:D

NO, sir. The "2 fingers down wave" signifies you hope the other rider keeps 2 wheels on the ground. You'll confuse them if you use 3 fingers. I'll give anyone other than a Spyder/Ryker rider the standard "wave". When I see another Spyder/Ryker rider, I give them a wave like I'm trying to flag someone down at an airport. :)

I call it a Spyder, and I ride it. I try not to use the word bike or motorcycle. I have nothing against anyone that does its just I rode a motorcycle for so long and IMO my Spyder is not a motorcycle or bike. I did once tell my kids I should call my Spyder "College Fund" after telling them I used that money to buy it. They didn't think it was as funny as I did.

I tell my kids if they inherit anything, I miscalculated.

Now that right thar is funny.....

Love it!!!!!!!!!! You guys had me Rollin' with laughter!

For me it will be: "I'm gonna take my Spyder for a ride,"

Thanks for the comments!

Sam:)

Agree with all :2thumbs::clap:just 1 minor detail, (started by BRP) :lecturef_smilie: we:rYde
:riding::riding: :bbq::coffee: Any driving is reserved for the cage, :dontknow: different enjoyment IMHO

In Georgia I had to get a "Motorcycle" endorsement on my license to legally ride it.

Bike, Motorcycle, Spyder or Trike, they all work for me be I try not to use Trike because like Monk said most people envision two wheels on the back.

Here in South Carolicki ya don't even need a motorcycle license to "ride" one of these thangs. Hell, ya don't hafta register a trailer or even have tail lights on them. :dontknow: Sure was different North of the Mason/Dixon.

A few days ago while I was fueling up the RTL a "Real Biker"™ on a non-HD V-Twin complete with a Harley shirt, still shiny chaps, chain wallet, doo-rag, nose-pickers and an insta-biker patch-leather vest that are sold at rallys with the "live to ride","Free Spirit", "Route 66", etc. patches already sewn on them was at the next pump. He started the "That ain't a real bike" spiel, so I agreed with him. I said, "No, it's not a bike. It wasn't designed as one, never has been one. It has 3 wheels, so under Missouri law it is classified as a Motortricycle. It's a Can Am Spyder, made by Bombardier Recreational Products, the same people that made my Ski-Doo snowmobiles when I lived in Minnesota. Not much snow here, so I guess this would be my landmobile." Finished gassing up, told him "Keep your knees in the breeze!" and rode off.

Just out of curiosity, where do YOU think the Mason/Dixon line is?

HINT: many, many people get this wrong. :dontknow:

.

The Manson/Nixon line is the southern PA state line and the western DE state line. Anything sound/west of the that is "below the Manson/Nixon line".

AND, if they had extended the line across the Delaware River, the south half of New Jersey would have been Rebels!

I have cousins in Bridgton that have more southern drawl then most of the folks I've met in the Smokies.

Read my tag line below! I ride everything like spyder, wheelers, sleds and jet skis. I drive my sxs and truck!

Around here we "ryde" our Spyder when typing. It is a motorcycle and motorcycles are a ride. Call it what you want and others can just accept.
