• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Double check your fluid quantities in the resevoirs under the seat. I was getting regular brake failure lights for awhile, and it seemed the fluid was transferring very slowly from one resevoir to the other, probably through the portioning valve system.

I was able to get where I needed to go a few times by siphoning with a burger king straw, cut to the right length, from one res to the other.

If its pad failure or something else, Im not sure I can help.

:agree: Yes, could just be brake fluid required in a reservoir. Note that if you need to add a large amount of brake fluid to top it it (these sensors are very sensitive) is should ONLY be DOT 4 fluid. It is NOT recommended putting DOT 3 or other in there, especially not mixing.
Hope this helps and good luck - keep us posted from the road!

Ahh, u guys rock. One reservoir was very low. Was on the tail yesterday and I was..still am hearing a lot of brake noise when applying the brakes. Not the kind where you know you have metal on metal...but close. Was hoping to find some pads, but I think I will be alright getting back to Tampa.

If it was that low and you don't have a leak, New pads are in order.

Hey Lamonster, we are near Sylva, how far from there are you?

Hey Doc,
I am in NC right now, but we will be leaving in the morning (Saturday) and heading back to Tampa. Jack sent me some info on a dealer in GA, so we will probably stop there on the way in and get it taken care of. I do have a tiny bit of brakes left in the rear, so I can make it in. This is my wifes Spydie and only has 8k miles on it, weird the rear brakes are shot already. My other 2 spyders had over 20k miles each and did not need brakes. I'll get the dealer to check them when I get back.
Just goes to show you how awesome this group is on Spyderlovers.com. I had an urgent need and all who could stepped up and helped me out anyway way they could ;), you guys great. I live near Tampa, so if there is ever a need, don't hesitate to contact me!
