• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bought the RS-S Today, Picking Up Soon

On the advice of others around here, I shopped around and ordered up an RS-S today.

I will be picking it up Friday. The place that originally was trying to sell me one apparently is a bunch of crooks. They told me they couldn't touch the price at all, and ran my credit through two different banks who wanted a large down payment.

When I got the new dealership involved, they knocked $1500 off and were shocked to find the first dealer didn't get me into the factory financing promotion, which they quickly did. Apparently the other dealer had decided they wanted their kickback from the banks instead of giving me a the factory loan that I was qualified for.

But, I'm happy with the new guys and will have my 2012 RS-S SE5 CanAm Red (Orange) Spyder Roadster on Friday :)

Very cool. You will love it. The RS was my first Spyder and it changed my life! As I posted yesterday, not all dealers are created equal.

Ride in comfort,

Sure, that would be fun :)
I got it from St Boni Motor Sports. I can't say enough good things about them.

Pro Power Sports and Marine in Ramsey on the other hand... I don't know if they always stick everyone with a worse loan so they can make a kickback or refuse to negotiate, but I'd avoid them. Went in with a good feeling, now when I buy a jet ski in a year or two, it won't be from them... They lost not one but two sales with that.

:congrats:

The right dealer can make the purchase an enjoyable event, mine as been exceptional.

Enjoy the new ride

Harry

:welcome: an :congrats: on the new ryde.

You did well by checking around on the financing.

The kickback thing is called dealer reserve. For instance: The dealer quotes you a 8% financing rate. The bank charges the dealer 6% financing rate. The dealer gets a 2% kickback on that deal. I always arrange my finacing in advance with the bank and finance rate of my choice so that I am pre-approved. It works as a cash deal with the dealer.

Company promotions are also good. I bought my Vulcan on 2 years, 0% financing promo. Paid no interest whatsoever on that one. Always go to company webstite in advance so you know what the current promos are for financing.

NICE BIKE D

excellent model choice. we ( gs, rs ) are the minority around here. just ask arntufun , he'll back me up on this:roflblack: maybe, when he's not mad at me anymore.
