• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Blue Tooth

Thanks guys. If I understand this correctly, the gizmo (dongle?) that Motorcycle Dave sells, will allow me to listen to the bikes radio on my Bluetooth equipped helmet. Right?

Yes and connect any blue tooth item you may have!!

Which unit do you have in your helmet? I bought a pair of Sena 20s EVO and just listen to the radio thru it's own radio. And It pairs really easy to my Galaxy Note 8 and Google Maps comes in loud and clear. Has intercom to the Back-Seat-Driver(when she's awake), and 8 other riders. Voice commands are cool. When we get out in the boonies the Spyder radio doesn't get good reception and seeking for a strong station gets a little scary on those narrow roads. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck.

I don't have the helmet sets yet. I am leaning towards the Cardo Packtalk. I do not ride in a pack but I like the idea of being able to talk to my friend on another bike when he is more than a few hundred feet away.

I spoke to you on the phone yesterday.

I now know what I have to do for the dongle (Motorcycle Dave).

As far as the head sets, I don't ride in a pack. I want to hear my Spyder radio, GPS, talk on my phone, converse with my passenger, and sometimes with one other rider.
The sena 10S is said to have a range of about a mile with line of sight. Does this mean that if my "other rider" passes a semi, do I loose him ? Can anyone tell me about real life range experience. I also have a problem with a unit that is not waterproof. How do you deal with rain ?
Does anyone know which Cardo has the best range for two riders without going to the mesh systems ? I would rather not spend that much.
