There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We have the scala9 bt headsets and I have mine linked to the garmin that came with my RT LTD and then I have my cell phone linked to the garmin. I can use both through the helmet if needed. I personally don't like to hear the gps voice talking to me so I had to turn that off, but sometimes I accidently push the wrong button on the scala and get the gps voice back. My husband linked his scala to his cell phone directly since he's usually the passenger rather than the driver. Once we linked the scala to his phone, we couldn't talk anymore, so we had to re-link the 2 scalas again (beware, the "bump" method didn't work so we had to go for manual pairing).
I have mixed feelings about the scalas but they do seem to work for the most part.
