• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Blue Ridge with X-creen Tour

I'm 6'2" so I ordered a Madstad windshield to replace my Blue Ridge. Unfortunately, after putting the Madstad on my F3, I just didn't like the way it looked. I reverted to the Blue Ridge and added X-creen Tour windscreen. I have to admit, it looks a bit strange but it works and I like it better than the Madstad, so I'll have a Madstad for sale shortly. The X-creen works nicely so I'm a happy camper. :doorag::spyder2:

+1. 250 miles in a15-20 mph wind yesterday with an Xcreen tour on a BRP windscreen. I could really control the buffering with small angle adjustments.

MOUNTING

HOW ARE THE ADDITIONAL SCREENS MOUNTED....?
is it necessary to drill holes into the Blue Ridge (OEM) windscreen....?

also: doesn't the additional force cause additional
stress to the mounting points of the OEM windscreen...?

What size, tint and price will you be asking?

just changed from clamp to permanent mount

I had originally started with the clamp-on kit (costs more) and a single-hinge setup for my Tour X-creen (on the Blue Ridge windshield). I went to the Deadwood 3 wheeler rally with that setup and it worked great. I made good time on the way home setting the cruise control to travel with traffic, and the additional speed didn't seem to affect anything, neither the clamps nor the original BR mounting brackets.

Earlier this week I changed the single hinge setup on the x-creen to the double-hinge. WAY more adjustability. My recommendation is do that from the get-go rather than trying the single hinge. After driving around like that, I decided I like it so much that I opted to drill through the windshield and put the permanent x-creen brackets on. Just did that this morning and it looks great. Someone else on this forum did that from the beginning (I can't remember who you are!) and said that it looked like it came from the factory that way. I agree. If I should ever take the x-creen off, I have no problem leaving the brackets in place, but honestly I can't see me ever removing the x-creen.
