• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Big Announcement! The 'Delete Threads & Posts' option is being disabled!

Hi AG,

Re: im going to disable the option that allows users the ability to delete

Will the two Mods be able to delete a post/thread?

If not, then why have Mods?

Jerry Baumchen

mods will keep things from getting out of control between members (as has happened all too many times)
they will also move mis-posted threads to the correct subforums. This will help all of us here to learn to post a new thread in the proper place so those interested in a particular subforum won't be bothered with stuff that doesn't belong.
give them a chance, they're in a learning curve

Moderators wont be going any where & yes their secret decoder ring will still give them the ability to delete threads/posts Jerry.

Why would therapy help you in this instance when it's failed all those other times?? LOL!! Merry Christmas, Joe!

Ohhhh woe is me :gaah::gaah:

It will take some time, but I will get thru this, :shocked: with therapy

In the past, I have deleted threads because of the comments that were made by some members on them (I am not going to mention any names).

9,434 posts???????????? we all need to contact your bride and make sure she gives you plenty of "honey do projects" so you don't have so much time to sit in front of your computer and send posts??????????? LOL

When things become "perfect" you will not even know moderators exist. :yes:

This is true. I am a mod for a Gold Wing message board. 99% of the time I function as just a member while I do maintenance in the background. When changes or updates occur, I inform the members. No need to involve members with routine maintenance or cleaning up things in the background, it's all in a day's work.
