• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I plan on taking front tires off tomorrow and never jacked up my spyder. Can't find manual. Also Am I correct in saying the tires will just come off after unplugging the 3 nuts??? No surprises?? Any tips or suggestion welcome. Thank you.

Let's see..!!

depending on your jack...floor jack on the forward part of the center frame to lift both wheels and jack stands for supporting your work. Three lugs and the wheel pops off. Tires are directional (if original) and need to be reinstalled the same way...

Thank you very much

Hi vided,

Re: anybody have pictures or a diagram of where to place jacks?

Are you asking about a floorjack or jack stands? Only asking since your question uses the plural.

On my '08 I cannot get my floorjack under the frame when the tires are on the concrete because my floorjack sits too high when collapsed.

I put my floorjack under the suspension on one side, just inside of the tire(s), lift just a little, then a small block of wood under the tire, then repeat for the other side.

Once both tires are up about 2" or so, I can get my floorjack under the frame at the center.

Then I lift it up to either put blocks of wood under each tire ( I have a couple of 6 x 12 wood pieces ) or jackstands under the suspension on each side.

Does this help?

PS) Once I have it on jackstands, I always give it a good shake just to ensure that it is stable. I also do this whenever I am putting a car on jackstands. And make sure the parking brake is set. We wouldn't want any oopsies, would we? :yikes:

The center frame just behind the sway bar is a good place and I too recommend jack stands to secure afterwards. One note though, the frame is slippery smooth painted steel so the part of the jack that makes contact with it would be best if covered with some non-slip material (rubberized Matt). I drove mine up on ramps then put a 2"x12" covered with a non slip rubber between the jack and frame to relieve the ramps then put jack stands under the "a-frame" and then removed the ramps. I like to be safe.

Is that an SG on the wall?
