There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Best long ride operator seat for F-3 spyder

I just bought an F-3 Spyder two weeks ago. I can already tell that I am going to need a more comfortable seat for 300-400 mile rides. What is the best operator seat for the F-3 base model?

Russel Day Long and Laam are the choice for custom seats for most bikes.
On my Honda ST1300 I had both the RDL and Laam.
I found the RDL to be hard, flat, and too wide. RDL has internal springs for us big guys. A good seat built for me but not to my liking.
The Laam was a better fit in the seat bucket and not as wide in the leg area near the tank. Laam customer service is awesome.
Both seat were way better than stock.

On my VStrom I had a great seat built by Terry Adcox.

On my Spyder STS I have a stock seat with an MCDave (one of our sponsors) gel pad insert. It works great for me.
I use it for commuting and long tours.

If my stock Spyder seat ever has to be replaced, and if I could afford a custom seat, I would go with the Laam and ride in for a custom fitting.

If you have a local seat customizer, go there and get the seat tailored to fit your butt and you can hive him add heat while he's at it. Then you'll have your choice of cover material. That's the route I've gone for decades and intend to do on my F3L.

I had a Russell seat for about two years then got an Ultimate tall boy. Last year I rode a 430 mile day followed by a 450 mile day followed followed by an 850 mile day. I have had Russell seats on two bikes and for me the Ultimate seat is a winner for me.

Just my opinion for what works for me.
