Whats the matter to cool for safety?

There are some disadvantages to using these - many are based on you having to be thrown from the vehicle and pulling an attached cord - another requires you to slide on the ground first - some activate to slow to be effective. It would take allot of investigation before I would buy one.

Great idea but I think that they have a ways to go.

I would like to see an airbag in the steering column that protected ones head. The number one motorcycle fatality is still the cager that makes a left hand turn in front of you and you slam into there side. You either go head first into side of car, as I did, or fly over the car.

I think you've got to really be slammed on the ground for those to even work and if they did work - everyone would be wearing them. If you wear a helmet, leather or protective jacket, gloves, boots that cover the ankle, you'll be fine.

When you go flying in the air from a collision you'll wish you had some padding before you impact a guard rail, curb, or the ground. :yikes:

Just had a good conversation with the owner of "Impact Jackets"
(nice guy)

The Good news

#1 They will work with Spyder owners, and set up a discount.

#2 He will be introducing the 2nd generation jacket next year in conjuntion with a major air bag manufacturer. (same manufacturer as the Honda Goldwing) This will deploy the vest or jacket in or about 18 milliseconds, instead of 500 millis.
Pretty fast inflation, faster than a car...:clap:

I have already called and spoken with the owner as well (this morning) and am waiting to discuss the situation with Lamonster...

The company is down the road from where I live and the jackets are made in the U.S.A...(not overseas)...

Please let me speak with Lamonster, get him in contact with the owner, and let them figure something out...I already have a discount percentage figured out, but cannot go further until the board administrator (lamonster) gets involved.

The owner will work out a discount program for us here at this board...everyone just hang on tight please...no need for everyone to call and speak with the owner...everything is under control...
