Base F3s still not released.....

For some reason, according to my dealer, base F3s aren't being released, yet. We considered changing our order to an S, but it's just not worth it for us. (my wife doesn't use the cruise, we're powdercoating the wheels and we don't like that chrome strip in the grill) So, even though we were our dealer's first order, we won't be getting it for a while. That stinks!!

I'm not fond of the chrome ....like the black on black....powercoat wheels...yes...or pull my spade wheels off ST....but do want cruise...heated grips....the ST's audio is wonderful....??????

I am pretty sure that there are going to be exceptions to the rule...


The dealers that want to make a good profit up front, are going to have the "upline" versions available first. "You want one now, you buy the upline version." Car and truck dealers do it all the time.

I believe it took a while last year (2014) for those that wanted the RT with an SM6. LTD's were all over the place. Cognac, anyone? :roflblack::roflblack:

My dealer ordered two LTD's last year and "forgot" to order my RTS. I waited an extra month to get the model and color I wanted.

Which dealer did you personally see a base model?? I want to be able to tell my salesman.

My dealer has had a base model for the past month. Originally they received it as a demo and I assumed it was a pre-production model but they have it on their floor for sale. So if you want one at demo price call ProShop Motorsports and Marine, Henderson, NV. I'd deliver it for you.

It is a white base SE and they added a windshield

Thanks for the heads up on that demo F3, but we never buy demos. They were subject to too many rides with cold engines and too much rpm. No one ever follows the prescribed break-in procedure on a demo. I personally beat the hell out of them at the salesman's request!!!! My son has a dyno and he's seen over and over again where demo cars put down less power than properly treated cars.

Not true, they have one sitting at Coleman Powersports in Woodbridge, VA right now...at least it was there when I picked up my F3-S. Nice looking bike! My local dealer said that this happens all the time with BRP and that their information is usually not so much on the reliable side.
