There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Bajaron Bar Install Question

I have my new bar, and am ready to do the install. Everyone here has said it is not complicated, and the directions are great. However, there is one bit of knowledge missing that I think I should know.

Does the load have to be removed from the suspension in order to do the install? Normally, I would put the bike in the air using the lift and then lower it a bit so the jack stands are firmly planted on the A-arms for support. But should the weight be off of the front suspension for this install (like you would do for shock removal/adjustment), or have weight upon them like near normal? If the weight should be off the suspension, where would be a good place to put the jack stands for safety?

Thanks for the help that I am sure will flood in to answer this question.

Ryde safe.

Good question... :shocked: :bbq::bbq::bbq:
I know that mine will have the front wheels hanging in the air when I try to pull this stunt off... :thumbup:

I did my yesterday and used the the lift and the jack stands; worked fine. Not sure if you have the RS or RT model. If RS, you will need to figure out a way on how to raise the frunk just about 3 to 4 inches to get the bar out and get to the top bolts, the rest is easy as pie.

Up or down..!!

I don't think it matters but it would be harder to do it on the ground. Not all of us have a full lift so space is really limited. On mine I did as many car jack and stands. My RS frunk (with the bumpskid included )is so easy to remove that it allowed to grease all the zerks under there as well as lining the bar up...:thumbup:

I did mine by Driving my Spyder up onto a couple of Rhino Ramps, this raises the Spyder about 7" off the ground and
with the distance between the bottom of the wheel and its axel this added the total clearence to about 14" much the same distance as the Spyder being on Axel stands
I was able to work underneath 1st removing the Bumpskid then moving the Funk out about 2-3" following the rest of the installation details as supplied

Did not seem to be any problem ref the Suspension which I did not touch

Its Much easier Jacked up But on my GS I just took the trunk off?

The shocks Hold up the Spyder- Not the sway bar!
