I have my new bar, and am ready to do the install. Everyone here has said it is not complicated, and the directions are great. However, there is one bit of knowledge missing that I think I should know.
Does the load have to be removed from the suspension in order to do the install? Normally, I would put the bike in the air using the lift and then lower it a bit so the jack stands are firmly planted on the A-arms for support. But should the weight be off of the front suspension for this install (like you would do for shock removal/adjustment), or have weight upon them like near normal? If the weight should be off the suspension, where would be a good place to put the jack stands for safety?
Thanks for the help that I am sure will flood in to answer this question.
Ryde safe.
