• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello,

Back to the shop for the 5th time for gear box issues on my 09 se5. It will not shift out of N some time ( go into 1 or reverse),The rpms go up to 2500 then float, and yesterday it locked in 4th. Every time you have to shut it off wait two minutes then it is ok for a short while. MFPOS for $17,000. Patients running a little thin now.:gaah:

Have the coil ground wires been added yet per the bulletin? My SE5 transmission has behaved perfectly since doing it.
What bulletin are you referring to. My dealer spoke to BRP who says there has been no problems other than the upgrade on the SE5. This after my bike contiues to have the problem. They have no suggestions in 2 weeks.

Nothing but broken down spyders here lately. This is really scarry. I too have a 09 SE5. That has to be frustrating. Good-luck, hope you get your spyder back soon :dontknow:

Please remember, it's human nature to complain about problems while most people won't post daily comments about how well products work. I have had no problems with my Spyder in a year and hope (and trust) it will stay that way, though I do watch the posts for preventative maintenance tips.

Rock on my Spyder family!!! :D

Nater1,

Do you have HID or fig lights installed? I remember a little while ago a few people had electrical problems that were caused by a bad install of either HIDs or fog lights.

Although it sounds more like a GPS problem, it may be worth checking into.

Aubierules - Have your service dept call my service manager, Ryan Stevens, 501.833.2628 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He's the one who turned me onto the coil grounding fix.

Just a update

I called BRP Monday morning with concerns to my problem, and was told my dealer has contacted engineering who has told dealer to replace GBPS again, and double check the grounds.

My dealers is a really good dealer who is trying their best to resolve my problem but I am getting the feeling BRP is playing us both.

Back information

I have had these items replaced

TPS
GBPS
Clutch assemble

Know they are replacing the GBPS again.
