Are your mirrors hard to see in? Try this.

As so many people have said how hard it is to see in the stock mirrors, we decided to put in a rear view camera system like our other show bikes have. Here are some shots of the rear view camera system installed today. It was really not too bad at all to install for the most part. The camera fits in the housing for the old plate light. We removed the old plate light bulb socket assembly then opened up the old screw hole for the lens and used one of our black Street Magic LED lighted plate frames for the plate. The camera and plate light are powered off the stock plate light wires, and the screen's power hooks directly to the Magic Power Blocks we installed for easy and quick hook up. The screen can be removed leaving nothing behind at all where it once was as it uses suction cup mounts to the stock bar bracket like a radar detector uses. The screen can be easily unplugged as it too uses the same kind of power plug that a radar detector uses, so the whole screen assembly can be put into the trunk in seconds for safety when parked.

I was really very happy with the picture quality even thought my camera photos do not do it justice. Also, the amount of adjustments from contrast to brightness to flipping the screen 4 different ways is really nice. The extra wide view angle also makes for almost no blind spots at all.

So the next Question we would ask is what does it cost to get set up with this camera???
anything Visual is a BIG plus when you can't hear worth a Crap ;D :nojoke:

And How much lead wire can you get with this camera? One thing that's been on my mind about Hauling My bike in a Covered trailer is Not being able to see if the bike is still up right ;D Could you get enough lead wire to make this camera work for this purpose also :dontknow: Just wondering???

The base camera kit costs have yet to be worked out. We are hoping to have a "kit" with the lens cover already done in the kit and the lighted plate frame for about $210 or so.The lead is long enough to go from the bars to the battery no problem.

I noticed in the picture you have a key ring on the Spyder key...did you drill in the key with no problem with the security sensor chip?

How did you get a hole in the key for your key ring in the picture?
Did it not effect the security sensor?
