I tend to stay away from things like this. But, when humanitarian and sense of responsibility come to mind... We have responsibility and humanitarian things owed to our own citizens, FIRST, the idea that we owe it to others needs to be put in perspective. If they come here, and drain our resources, how will we take care of our own?
I'm not talking about the leeches, but our Vetrens, our kids, our own.

And now Rick Perry is sending 1,000 National Guard troops to the Texas/Mexico border to the tune of $12 million dollars a Month. They will have no authority to stop anyone from crossing the border. According to Perry, they will be there as a "deterrent". nojokeIt will take the illegals about 5 minutes to figure this out. So, Texas taxpayer's money will be wasted by having NG troops standing around doing nothing so that Perry can claim that he is taking action that the Feds are not. Anybody else out there see a problem with this?

If you want to use the drawing of the American Indian to allow ilegals, then think about this. The incoming people "won" by two means. Killing the Indians with medical problems, or just killing off in general. The treaties just slowed the process a little.

Rome tried that. Rome was rich. Insanely rich in comparison to its neighbors. Rome fell primarily due the continuous incursions by the outsiders who wanted some of Rome's wealth. This same scenario has occurred repeatedly in human history. It is in our best interest to invest in building up our neighbors. I am not convinced that we would benefit greatly from building up some of the other nations--African countries come to mind as an example. However our neighbors have a special position solely because they are geographically close. What happens in those countries affects us. So by having "mini-Marshall plans" would be in our own best interest. Besides that, it would be the humane thing--but more importantly, it would be in our own interest to do so. It is far less problematic to create wealth in another nation than it is to fight off the hoards streaming over the border. We need to close the boarder AND develop a strategy of developing our neighbor's culture into sustaining economies.

Would you please be so kind to tell me and prove to me where you found a hazmat driver that didn't understand english or could not read the signs, i am no expert or the most intelligent person here but last i checked you had to read a book or two about rules and road regulations and it was in ENGLISH, also have you tried to come to the States legally? I have, for your info, it will take the average Mexican 25 years from start to finish if he has no help from anybody, it is narrow minded people like you who is bringing this great country down by spreading your hate around,:banghead::banghead: glad the rest of this forum is normal, i said what i had to say, mods, it this gets me banned from this great site so be it, it would be easier for me to repit it than to regreat it, im out

This doesn't seem like a complex issue at all to me.

There are legal ways to enter this country. If you enter illegally then you should be sent back to your home country. That is the law. Send these people home. Period!

If there are issues in your home country you are fleeing from then you should make a stand and try and change what is happening in your own country. That's exactly how the USA came to be.

As for the work they do and people that are US citizens not wanting to do it. In my opinion that's a huge problem in this country and a lot of it stems back to entitlements. Stop handing out my tax dollars to anyone with their hand out and these people will start working. They get hungry enough they will work. In the current situation people riding the entitlement wagon have no reason to get off. They make more money not working than a person who is actually working.

The politicians in the white house don't care about this country. They care about themselves. They haven't been doing their jobs for years and no one seems to care. Things just keep rolling on status quo. When are the legal citizens of the USA going to make a stand and say "enough is enough" and clean house in Washington so we can put this country on the correct path again?
